Other Access Skyward Gradebook Message Center

Sending mass emails to your parents/students or both in Skyward Gradebook

1. Simply go to the `Other Access' tab when in Skyward Gradebook and click on `Message Center'.

2. Then click on either `Add message for multiple classes or current class' on the right.

3. Next type in a summary (topic), the priority, and the message in the detail box.

4. You can select posting options below the message (date(s) to appear, who to post to, etc.) and emailing options (email to guardians, students, additional info.) below that. For example, if you want just parents (all parents who have their email in their family Skyward) then select only Family Access with the option for them to respond to you. Or if you want to just email the parents or students of one class, you have that option also.

5. If you have file (handout/assignment) you can attach it to your email. Make sure you upload the file from your computer and click save when you're done. 6. After that, go down and select your class(es) that you want to receive the email...or students of the course if you're emailing just one class.

7. If you need to modify your text in any way, click on the `View style toolbar' to view. When you're done formatting, you can click the arrow to collapse the toolbar.

8. Click `Save'.

This new feature allows the school registrar and attendance clerk to send you messages also and gives you the power to email parents about upcoming grading reports, due dates, etc. As you can see below, a student that Ms. Burger has emailed has a notification in her Message Center and she can click on where it says `View Messages' to see her message from her teacher.
