Director of Social ServicesSalary$63,918 AnnuallyReports toExecutive Director HPTClosesOpen Until filledPosition summaryUnder the general direction of the Vice President of Affordable Housing, is responsible for identifying the social service needs of residents of housing developments and coordinating the efforts to address these needs within the agency and with other social service agencies and organizations. Summary of Duties: Coordinates with Property Managers to ensure that residents’ special needs are identified;Coordinates efforts to address resident issues in collaboration between property manager and service providers;Coordinates and supervises efforts to insure in-kind assistance is provided to facilitate the work of the service provider;Monitors on an on-going basis the social service needs of each housing development;Creates reports for the Vice President of Affordable Housing;Evaluates the effectiveness of social services provided at each housing development. Responsible for seeking out and securing service and/or provider for social services for the housing developments;Analyzes the adequacy of existing service arrangement/programs and determines the need for additional service; Responsible for soliciting funds, resources and services from community social service agencies to address specific needs of families in the housing developments;Analyzes and reports the on-gong efforts for social service/program to the Property Manager and the Vice President of Affordable Housing;Coordinates information with Social Service Coordinators and service providers;Represents the agency in social service program and activities;Keeps Property Managers and Resident Association Coordinator informed on community programs available to residents and the changes in programs;2390775774192000Researches federal, state and local organizations and agencies for grants and other opportunities to provide assistance to housing development residents; Applies for and writes grants to obtain financial assistance for social services programs and services;Facilitates training and information sessions with community service providers and Property Managers;May assist the Vice President of Affordable Housing with non-social services related projects as needed.
