Southampton now has two new venues. Testlands – doing great! Kit storage all set, pitches ready etcThe hub at Bishopstoke for the Hurricanes – Loos, storage, free parking! no charge to use the field for training. Games will be ?20 in order to secure the use of the pitch. They will put out markings for ?443.80 or just foul lines for ?221. Bob will be getting foul lines and will draw out a box himself, it will be up to the umpire to decide if a ball has gone dead. Hurricanes will be looking for a new venue for 2019 due to the council having ‘plans’ for the field.Bob will be looking into Winchester Uni – lots of ex pat north Americans – great area for expansion!Chichester. Same venue. Back stop being built, few other plans. Fixtures Team registration forms to be returned to the fixtures officer no later than March 1stWill be looking at making a google doc this year. Live fixtures on bsf website this year 1st of each month fixtures and umpire allocations will be posted. All teams entering league this year must be prepared to play home and away fixtures. If they don’t then they will not be playing this year. All players and teams to be registered on the BSF website. If they are not, then they will not be insured. Captains to update team correspondence throughout the year. BSF update No increase in BSF fees. A modest increase will be happening next year Softball world series looking for volunteers – get in touch with Nationals. Must travel to sign papers. Feb 24th 2018. League training Gosport Gargoyles are forming due to Baffins training last year so that is a success. There were a lot of issues with Wide Lane last year. Hopefully this year will run more smoothly with Testlands. Asif – Spitfires will be changing team names so they are less A/B team and more of a spate identity which they are. Scott – anyone want any friendlies? Get in touch with him (Gargoyles Captain) Zoe – Liam has suggested we have outfield lines – used for coaching and to get a boundary to help keep dog walkers and football players outside of our pitches.
