Renewable and Non-renewable Energy Resources

Task:

Each group will be assigned one renewable and one nonrenewable resource to research.

Project Guidelines and Goals:

• Create a creative and informative group class presentation by making a PowerPoint,

• You must make sure that it is ready and able to be accessed on the day it is due. IF IT IS NOT, THE PROJECT WILL BE GRADED AS LATE!!!

• You may upload to YouTube, email it to me, bring in a removable drive. There must be time BEFORE the project is to be presented to check that it was received and able to be played in the classroom!

• Your project shouldn’t be a series of slides specifically answering the above questions, they are meant to guide you, not create your project for you. HOWEVER , you must answer all the above questions for your specific energy type.

• Your group should answer all the questions for each energy type PLUS at the end answer the following two questions comparing both your renewable and nonrenewable source.

• bibliography with all information cited in correct formats

• Presentation must be a minimum of 15 slides

Resources/ Guidelines:

• The library has a large collection of books and Science encyclopedias that will be very useful for your project.

• Each person MUST use at least one book source!!!

• You should use the information in chapter 15 to assist you in writing about the above information

• You should write in your own words & avoid plagiarism (copying/citing as your own work – you do not need to cite pictures/images for this project)

- Do not copy and paste.

- EVERYTHING should be in your own words

- If you take a direct quote it must be cited with MLA format.

• Your project should not be made up of other peoples quotes, however if you find one or two that are crucial to your presentation, you may include them.

- is your friend!

• One great website to get you started is the energy kids page:

• This project is also listed on my website should you lose any of the papers!
