NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Monday, September 8th

For those arriving a little early, an increasingly popular golf networking outing is planned for Monday afternoon.

All skill levels are welcome and prizes will be awarded!

We will be playing at one of the most scenic courses in the Salt Lake City area this year. The course is called “Mountain Dell Canyon” and is conveniently located halfway between the Salt Lake City airport and Park City (less than a mile off I-80 at Exit 134).

The course is 15 minutes from the Canyons Hotel, and 15-20 minutes from the airport.

Not only is this course situated in the mountains, but players have a great chance of seeing deer, elk, moose, hawks, and eagles. Although pairings and tee times will be announced later, participants should plan on arriving at the course by 1:00 PM. Cost (which includes cart rental and a $10 pro shop credit) will be $50 per person and will be paid by each participant at the course (no prepayment this year).

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Brian Wiedower at: 913-315-8631, or Brian.C.Wiedower@.

Brian will provide additional details for the event as the date approaches.

Tuesday, September 9th

A reception is scheduled for Tuesday evening at The Grand Summit Hotel for you and any guest accompanying you. This is a great opportunity to renew existing professional contacts and make some new ones.

Wednesday, September 10th

Everyone knows that Wheaties are the breakfast of champions, but dinner Wednesday night is in the building that commemorates the Olympic Champions of the 2002 Winter Games. Bring your camera for this wonderful experience at the Utah Olympic Park.

The Alf Engen Museum at the Utah Olympic Park is a beautiful setting for our Wednesday night event. After a short 10 bus minute ride from the Grand Summit hotel, you will be immediately struck by the beauty and the impressiveness of the park. The large Olympic banner stands at the entrance, and kiosks along the plaza celebrate the top 3 finishers in each of the events held here: which include the 90 meter and 120 meter ski jumps, and the sliding sports including the bobsled, luge and skeleton.

The lower floor has a great interactive ski museum with short films, and the upper floors contain memorabilia from the Olympic games and press coverage. Bigger-than-life sized puppets used for the opening and closing ceremonies look over the mezzanine area, and photos and newspaper articles from the games allow guests to spend hours looking at the various displays. There’s even a display featuring copies of the gold, silver and bronze medals that the athletes earned.

After a guided bus tour of the Men’s and Women’s start house, luge and bobsled, and the Museum, dinner will be served at the Museum.

If you are a paid registrant to the conference, this program is included in the fee. If you wish to have a guest accompany you for this outing, the fee is $75.00 per guest.
