Courses include Nursing Foundations, Intermediate Concepts in Adult Health, and Advanced Concepts of Nursing. Clinical teaching site is Gwinnett Medical Center. Other responsibilities have included Senior Nurse Educator, Academic Advisor, host of NCLEX review, Chair of department committees, Faculty Senator, Member of college Promotion and Tenure Committee, Chair of Peer Review Committee, member of Executive Curriculum Committee, Course Webmaster, NLN self-study committee, Club Advisor, Coordinator of the LPN Bridge Program, new faculty mentor, committee member for GSU merger, search committee member of Dean search. Named most influential faculty member. Elected Class advisor. Participated in medical Spanish course and outreach and education in Honduras and Costa Rica with the International Department for 4 years. 1970-1971 US Navy Charge Nurse, Neurosurgical Ward
National Naval Experience included teaching and supervision of Navy
Medical Center corpsmen and nursing care of acute patients. Also
Bethesda, MD gained experience on plastic surgery, urology, general surgery, and EENT floors as well as recovery room and intensive care. On some shifts, supervised four wards and 12 personnel.
