Throughout the course, students will be asked to analyze works of art, create studio projects as directed, complete sketches in a sketch book, and complete quizzes over the readings as assigned. Students will also be asked to reflect upon their learning for each chapter and carry on art-related blogs with other students in the class.

This course can be completed by the student at their own pace as it is set up through BlackBoard and at this time there are no scheduled face-to-face meetings. Please note that there are specific chapters/coursework that MUST be completed by the end of each quarter! All class information, quizzes, assigned projects, and videos will be found in Blackboard as they are presented by modules that correspond to the chapters in the student text book.

Students must be willing to approach this class with a willingness to try. To be successful, students must be able to monitor and use their time wisely, follow directions and expectations for studio projects as directed, and handle art supplies with care. Students are expected to gather their supplies needed from the area in their school where they are located, use them appropriately, clean them up, and put them away.
