Principal's Corner
It is hard to believe it, but the end of the first trimester of the 2018-2019 school year is Friday, November 9. I know the staff and students have been working hard to do their Personal Best. It is encouraging to see the hard work and effort going into teaching and learning throughout the school. Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Monday, November 19th and Tuesday, November 20th. Parents are expected to attend these important meetings to discuss your child's progress in school. You will soon be receiving a letter of your conference appointment. Remember, in order to help our students REACH FOR THE STARS, you need to be a key member of our Willow Woods Team.
Following Parent Teacher Conferences, there will be no school on Wednesday, November 21st through Friday, November 23rd for the Thanksgiving Recess. As we move into the Thanksgiving Holiday, I hope that all Willow Woods families take the time to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for.
Ms. Vera Ivezaj Principal

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Conferences are an important part of communication between you and your child's teacher. Fall Conferences will be held Monday, November 19 in the evening from 5:00pm -8:00pm.
Conferences will continue on Tuesday, November 20 in the afternoon from 1:15pm - 3:45pm and in the evening from 5:00pm--8:00pm. Tuesday will be a half day of school with dismissal at 12:03pm.
Running a temperature?
If your child is not feeling well and running a temperature please do not send him/her to school. All children should be fever free for 24 hours without medicine before sending him/her to school. Many students are being sent to school not feeling well. If they have a sick stomach, have a sore throat or are continually coughing please do not send him/her to school. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping all the "Wildcats" well and safe.
Media Center News
In November, the big event going on in the Media Center is the Scholastic Book Fair. The dates for the fair are November 12-16 during the school day, and November 19 & 20 during conferences. Schedules for individual classes' buying times will be sent out a week beforehand.
The fall and spring book fairs are a way to support the media center and also get books in the hands of your children so they can appreciate the responsibility of book ownership.
The Kindergarten teachers and I can always use help with the Kindergarten classes preview and buying days. I will be sending messages out on Dojo at the appropriate time. Mr. Steve sreinke@
