Celebrates our second family reunion in Durham, North Carolina (July 29-31, 2016)

Dear family members and friends:

The 2016 Macklin Family and Friends Reunion Committee are very pleased to announce the details of our second reunion. We have noticed that our family has grown in size and so this is our attempt to get everyone together, share our history, and create new memories.

We are honored to plan and host our family reunion here in North Carolina, and hope this will be a Biennial event. The committee is working hard to put together a weekend of awesome activities and entertainments that all will enjoy.

We have limited the Friday evening activities to one event; registration and an early evening welcome celebration, so everyone can have some free time to explore the area and spend quality time with family and friends. We have also planned one dinner each night in order for us to get together and get to know each other, and (hopefully) catch up.

North Carolina is a great central location for our family reunion because it serves as a midpoint for most that live in the southern area and easy access to Raleigh/Durham Airport for those traveling from other states. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, concerns or suggestions.

Friday: Welcome Celebration

Friday: 4:30-8:30 pm, Family & Friends will gather to register and pick up gift bags, tee shirts & name badges, get acquainted and socialize with family and friends, and delight in finger foods and beverages.

Saturday: 12-4 pm Events to be scheduled by Activity Committee

Saturday Evening: Banquet

Saturday: 7:00 pm-12:00 am Family and friends will gather in the Hotel Ballroom for a night of elegance, as we dine, dance and delight in each other’s company. Dress to impress “self”; in that beautiful black, white, and silver. Please feel free to wear the colors as you desire.

Sunday: Religious Service Breakfast

Sunday: 7:00 am -11:00 am, family and friends will gather in the hotel for a prayer breakfast; hosted by: Rev. Eric L. Woods; Evangelist: Virginia Macklin; Deaconess: Selma Macklin McAllister; and Deacon: Bennie Macklin

Durham has many fun activities and offerings, such as the Carolina Theater, Performing Arts Theater, and you can catch some great movies at AMC- Sixteen-screen, stadium-style multiplex with digital surround sound and a full IMAX Theater, The Museum of Life and Science, and so much more!
