Compensation AnalystWe have an opportunity for a top performing Compensation Analyst to join the Human Resources team based at our HQ in Tacoma, WA. This key member of the Compensation Team will review and evaluate numerous job families for Corporate and Field positions in determining salary ranges and total compensation. The position will assist in the development, implementation, analysis and ongoing administration of various compensation programs to ensure competitive, cost-effective compensation opportunities for employees. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESReviews, analyzes, and evaluates jobs based upon job descriptions using established systems and market data, determines salary ranges, and prepares documentation records of the analysis and recommendations. Conducts and completes salary surveys and market analysis.Develops compensation recommendations and costings. Performs reclassification analysis and processing and determines the FLSA status of each job. Conducts data collection and analysis for special projects.Works closely with HR operations to generate routine and special reports as required. Partners and consults with HR business partners to support managers who are creating or revising positions to provide guidance. Ensures that any needed supplemental information (e/g. organizational charts, financial and operations data, and other necessary scoping information) is compiled in preparation for the job evaluation process. Serves as a resource to HR business partners, managers and employees relative to compensation policy and systems, interpretation/application/resolution of pay matters.Interprets regulatory guidelines for compensation related items.Conducts the monthly and annual equity calculations, seeks approvals and coordinates with payroll. Conducts the monthly ESPP shares calculation, seeks approvals and coordinates with payroll.Conducts the annual merit process, develops and coordinates tools and communications with managers and HR business partners.Acts as project manager for compensation projects/programs.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.5+ years Human Resources experience.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of information systems, especially software applications, and their application to human resources systems. Proficient with Microsoft Suite; advance skills with Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to independently prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines with complete, accurate information and complete analysis of issues.Proficient with statistics in reviewing surveys and other data points to determine compensation and incentive calculations.Uses time effectively and concentrates efforts on the most important priorities.Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations to managers and staff.Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve d difficult problems with effective solutions.
