Data Retrieval Tool Instructions

1) Navigate to .

2) Log-in with your FSA ID and password.

3) Make sure you are on the 2022-2023 tab.

4) Select the Make FAFSA Corrections link, if you have already submitted your FAFSA. If not, navigate to the Financial

Information Tab.

5) Select "Link to IRS" button. 6) Enter in address, city, state, and zip code, as shown on your 2020 tax return.

TRY TO USE THIS METHOD FIRST.

7) Select the Transfer from IRS checkbox, then select transfer.

8) Do not modify any information marked Transferred by IRS. P9R) ISNigTnOwNitLhINFESA ID for both student and parent (if applicable), and resubmit.

-Go to -Select "Get My Tax Record" -Select "Get Transcript Online -You will need access to your account number from a credit card, mortgage, home equity loan, home equity line of credit or car loan, and a mobile phone number with your name on the account.

ORDER BY MAIL ONLINE

-Go to -Select "Get My Tax Record" -Select "Get Transcript by Mail" -Transcript will arrive in 5 to 10 business days.

YOU MUST LIST A STUDENT ID NUMBER ON ALL FORMS.

ORDER BY MAIL WITH 4506-T FORM

-Complete 4506-T Request form. -Complete boxes one through five with your personal information. -Indicate you would like your 1040 transcript in box six. -Check box A for Return Transcript -Indicate Tax Year Ending 12/31/2020 in box nine. -Sign and mail or fax to address listed on the form.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN IRS OFFICE

-Locate an IRS Office in your area and contact them to set an appointment to have transcripts printed. -The Joplin IRS Office, located at 4th and Main, can be reached at 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment.

Wage and Income Transcripts (for W2's) and Verification of Non-Filing Letters can be requested by mail with the 4506-T form,

printed online (online account holders only), and in-person.
