We are proud to present the Tampa YMCA 2018 Summer Camp guide and offer your camper their ticket to the BEST SUMMER EVER! Based on parent and camper feedback from last year, we will continue offering the opportunity for campers to customize their Summer Camp Adventure! There are many camp options to choose from so campers can experience something new each week!

Choose your own ADVENTURE with:

? Day Camp where there's a unique and exciting theme every week! ? Day Camp with a Specialty offering a wide variety of fun choices! ? Camps dedicated to sports, aquatics, gymnastics and teen fun! ? The First Tee Camp to learn and hone golf and life skills! ? Camp Cristina where campers explore and experience incomparable adventures! ? There are even preschool and adaptive camps available. Being a part of the YMCA experience provides your child with growth-filled opportunities to play and explore in a safe and nurturing environment. Our fun-filled Day Camp Experience immerses campers in a new, exciting theme each week! With this option, campers will enjoy days full of themed camp fun with activities like arts and crafts, swimming, games and so much more!

Looking to amp up the Summer Camp FUN? It's easy to enhance any week with new and engaging adventures and experiences by simply choosing one of our many Day Camp with Specialty options. With this, campers will enjoy all the fun of the Full Day Camp Experience PLUS time throughout the week spent engaged in activities specific to their added Specialty.

AQUATICS, TEEN AND GYMNASTICS CAMP

Is your camper looking to spend an entire day immersed in something they are passionate about? Or is your teen ready to spend the day with kids their age having fun and learning new skills in a supervised environment? If so, we have the camp for you! With swimming and gymnastics your camper is passionate about or your teen is simply at that age where they are looking for fun ways to spend the day with friends in a supervised environment, one of these options is bound to add excitement to the BEST SUMMER EVER!

UNIQUE DESTINATIONS

If your camper is looking for a unique adventure this summer, we have 2 AMAZING options to choose from! YMCA Camp Cristina is our 65-acre outdoor adventure center equipped with zip lines, paintball, archery, fishing, and so much more; and The First Tee of Tampa Bay Summer Camp offers the opportunity for campers to learn and hone their golf skills while also developing invaluable life skills like respect, sportsmanship and integrity at 4 different locations throughout the Tampa Bay area!

PRESCHOOL AND ADAPTIVE CAMP

We are proud to offer camps catering to campers not quite old enough for the typical summer camp and fun for those campers who may require a bit more attention and care during their camp day! Preschool and Adaptive Camps are offered at a few of our Tampa locations throughout the summer.

Magic of the Holidays

Christmas in July!? Come join us this week as we celebrate the holidays in summer camp style. We are taking all the best holidays and wrapping them up in one, great big week.

Wildlife Jungle

Explore the habitats of animals from the jungle and discover the animals that live there! Unleash your Wild Side for a week full of fun and games while also having all the fun of traditional camp.

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away

3, 2, 1 Liftoff! Explore with us as we shoot for the stars. This week will be full of learning about all things outer space. Grab your spacesuits and let's blast off to an out of this world experience.

Survivor

We'll never vote you off the island, but in this week you might feel like you are on a special island. Your tribe will be challenged with many teambuilding skills that will require all to follow the Y's core values. Don't miss out on this week and create memories that will last. Everyone wins during this week of camp!

Camp Spirit

We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how about you? Come join us this week as we celebrate the last week of camp through competition, banners and camp chants. Show us your camp spirit!

Hollywood (East Pasco only)

Campers will enjoy games and activities involving popular, family friendly movies AND have the opportunity to rehearse and perform skits from some of their favorites getting ready for a big performance at the end of the week!

FREE SWIM LESSONS included for campers who cannot swim!

Campers that are unable to pass the YMCA swim test will receive basic instruction from our certified swim instructors. Day Camp participants will be swim tested each week of camp. All participants classified as a "Red Band" swimmer or non-swimmer will receive water safety education and basic water safety skill instruction during their designated camp swimming time for the week they are enrolled.

At sports camp, campers will enjoy participating in a wide array of sports including: soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball and more. Each day campers will focus on a different sport or game while also participating in traditional camp activities such as team building, character development, arts and crafts, swimming and more. High Adventure

Discover Science

Campers develop orienteering skills and learn plant and animal identification along with discovering useful camping skills including fire building, knot tying and campfire cooking.
