Taking Responsibility for Your Actions-In kindergarten and first grade we learned a lot about responsibility, but being responsible is more than just doing your chores, picking up toys, and doing your homework. Being responsible also means that we do not blame others for our mistakes. It is okay to make mistakes, we all do and mistakes help us learn and grow. But it is important to remember that you are responsible for the choices that you make. -Read along with the book: It’s Not My Fault by Julia Cook -In the story, Noodle was not taking responsibility for his actions. Discuss some examples from the story where Noodle did not take responsibility (having to stay in for recess, not having his library book, hitting a classmate, etc). What could he have done or said differently in those situations to show that he was taking responsibility for his actions?-What choices did Noodle make the next day at school to show that he was ready to take responsibility for his actions and choices (handed in his library book, told his teacher that his rough draft was not done and he would do it the next day, etc.)?Activity: Complete the worksheet below. -771525-44767500-18097562801500 ................
