With regards to opioid tapering, that is a really interesting question. There are a couple of these studies that I looked at in pain treatment programs where they looked at opioid tapering. They found that smokers really had a harder time with opioid tapering. In one study smokers were more likely to drop out from an opioid tapering program. ................
