STEPS TO COMPLETE THE FINGERPRINTING PROCESS

The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) requires all Probationary & Intern certificate applicants to submit fingerprints for a national criminal history background check.

OR In order to set up your fingerprinting, you must apply for your Probationary

Intern Certificate.

Please contact your Program Specialist if you are unsure which certificate you should apply for.

The cost of the Fingerprinting request is $40.25

An additional $10 is paid to IdentoGo at the time of appointment scheduling.

CREATE A TEAL USER ACCOUNT

To complete the fingerprinting process, you must first have a TEAL user account.

STEP 1

Click the link below and log into your TEAL account. TEAL ACCOUNT LOGIN

STEP 2

Click on "View My Educator Certification Account"

STEP 3

Complete the required information for the Educator Profile Setup

and click "Continue."

STEP 4

Click on Applications from the side bar menu - then click the appropriate certificate from the dropdown menu:

"Intern Certificate Texas Program" OR "Probationary Certificate Texas Program"

*Please contact your Program Specialist if you are unsure which certificate you should apply for.

STEP 5

Click "Apply for Certification"

STEP 6

Complete the Educator Application for Affidavit page

and then click "Apply"
