The Chiropractic Association of Louisiana

presents

X-Ray Proficiency & Safety

for the Chiropractic Assistant

About the Program

The Chiropractic Association of Louisiana is pleased to announce plans for its 2021 continuing education program on X-ray Proficiency and Safety for the Chiropractic Assistant. This program is offered to assist doctors in the education of their staffs and compliance with state laws which require chiropractic assistants involved in the taking of x-rays to be certified.

During the three weekend sessions, CAs will be exposed to the latest information regarding diagnostic imaging. Course work will stress operating and safety procedures. Through the lectures, students will gain practical knowledge in basic anatomy, proper positioning, shielding, patient dosage processing and quality problem solving techniques.

Textbook knowledge is then enhanced and reinforced through hands-on training, a feature unique to CAL’s program. It’s a proven fact that most people learn best by doing. With that thought in mind, this program has been structured so that approximately half of your CA’s time will be spent in a workshop setting where he/she will have the opportunity to actually apply the principles set forth during the lectures. Since institution of this format, not only has there been more enthusiastic participation on the part of Chiropractic Assistants, but classes, as a whole, have demonstrated a better grasp of the subject matter and greater retention of knowledge (as reflected on overall test scores).
