Here’s our advice on how to write a great synopsis: The opening of their novel in progress or a short story – up to 3000 words15 students to be selected on the basis of the quality of material sent in Before the course starts:The material sent in by all 15 course participants will be distributed to Laura and to the whole group at least 2 weeks before the start of the course with an instruction that everyone should read the material before arriving on the course in order to participate in writing workshops about each other’s work – and make whatever notes they need in order to be ready to discuss the work in class. The one-to-one tutorials will also be based on the material and synopsis sent in – and students will have the opportunity to ask questions of Laura so they can make the best use of their one-to-one time Students will be asked to complete writing exercises in class, and to make sure they have read all work sent in by the other students, but there will be no additional written homework set during the courseSchedules for writing workshops and tutorials will be sent out to all students ahead of the start of the course. ................
