Teacher Views
Female, married with children.
Doha offers a good quality of life where you can spend more time with your family. The education is very good by UK standards and there are plenty of extracurricular activities for children, particularly sporting activities. Doha also has some beautiful safe beaches for children as well as parks and indoor play areas.
Single, female.
`I love living in Doha because it is such a vibrant city with a large expat community. I enjoy living and working in a multicultural environment and I have a much better work-life balance here, compared to the UK. It is an amazing life experience and I am so glad to have this amazing opportunity.'
`I really love that the students in Qatar are motivated to learn. They look forward to coming to school and want to work hard. In the UK I spent most of my time trying to manage the students' behaviour, whilst in Qatar, I spend most of my time teaching. The school here is very supportive and the standards for teaching are just as high as in the UK, but the atmosphere, attitudes and enthusiasm of all the staff and children is inspiring.'
