WV TREE Resource:English Language ArtsResource Name: Holocaust Butterfly ProjectGrade Level(s): 7th/8thResource Summary/Overview: This project accompanies the book I Never Saw Another Butterfly, a compilation of poems and pictures created by children held in the Theresienstadt concentration camp during WWII. Students will read poems and view artwork by the children of the camp and create their own butterflies to represent a child featured in the book. Students will share a poem by the child they chose and learn the fate of the child.
