Oral responses, projectMaterials: Daydream interactive water cycle chart, interactive white board Lesson Beginning: Students will be introduced to the water cycle via an interactive whiteboard chart. During this time I will have students attempt to name the parts of the water cycle when prompted. I will also have students tell me what they already know about the water cycle. These questions will guide my instruction. Instructional Plan: First, we will begin with the aforementioned activity.Next, I will have students come up to the board and identify various parts of the water cycle. I will ask students to work in pairs to answer questions about the information that they were presented with.I will model making rain in a bag – a project that exhibits the process of the water cycle.Students will be given instructions and supplies to make their own rain in a bag.First, students will need to draw a picture, using a marker, to represent each part of the water cycle.Next, students will fill their bag one third of the way full with water from the sink.Then, students will use tape to attach their bag to the classroom window.Later, students will observe that the heat from the sun causes water to evaporate, condense and precipitate inside the bag.Differentiation: A microphone will be worn for students with ADHD and hearing impairment. John: the names of the parts of the water cycle will be written on John’s plastic bag as a means of differentiating the activity. Classroom Management: Students’ seats will be moved so they are in closer proximity to the instructor and also to each other.Closing: Students will work independently to label the parts of the water cycle in order from beginning to end. This will be used as a means of student evaluation as well as a means for deciding further re-teaching.Evaluation: Proficiency will be reached when students complete the rain in a bag project and water cycle sheet with 85% accuracy. ................
