Time to get in shape for the summer. Hope you all had a wonderful winter and Holiday Season this year. We are looking forward to another stellar summer as we prep our homes for the next cold season which will arrive sooner than we desire. Well for some of us it will come all too soon. We had wonderful cooperation with home and yard maintenance last year and are sure we will have the same this year. We do have a few new home owners that have replaced rentals so things should look better for those homes this year. We welcome them and invite them and all of you to attend any of our monthly board meetings. The Board must pass a resolution each year for these rules to remain in force. If you feel that the rules are going beyond what you feel is needed then you would have to address the Board at one of its monthly meetings.ACC REQUESTSHave a home improvement project in mind? Just submit an ACC request before you begin to ensure that what you have in mind will be approved. Please allow up to 30 days for approval. Our committee acts fast but sometimes need to address concerns before final approval. BACKYARDS Unfinished backyards can become a nuisance to your connecting neighbors by way of flooding, weeds, varmints, etc. Backyard weeds and trash is also a violation and need to be maintained. So the Board has opened a savings and checking account at the UMB bank on Security Blvd. We will move all our banking to this facility in the near future.DID YOU FORGET???We are still behind on collecting the fees for this year. Some of us have forgotten to pay our dues. With the holidays keeping us busy we have missed placed our notice of dues owed or have not received one at all. The Notices were sent out in December 2014. Dues are due and payable on the 1st of January each year and late if not received by the 15th of March. The accountant will be sending out new notices to those of us who have forgotten to pay. With the beginning of summer more folks and children will be out so please ensure that your trash is placed in containers with lids. This will keep the wind from blowing items around your neighbor’s yard and keep stray animals out of it. Bags of garbage are not allowed to be kept on any lot within the association. Please ensure that it is disposed of in a timely manner. On windy days a bungee cord may be needed to secure the containers to a post. Garbage cans should be kept behind the fence except on your trash pick-up day.
