The purpose of the questions is to facilitate a deeper understanding of the Bible, this Bible study topic, and ourselves. The questions may be answered by each reader; or used by a Bible study group leader or church
pastor. The following questions should be answered or discussed after reading "3 Types of Death 1 Source of Life."
There are two types of questions: lesson and opinion. Lesson questions (preceded by a number) are provided an answer. Opinion questions (preceded by an ) are designed to enhance learning via the determination of opinions and/or discovering how the lesson content illuminates our personal lives. As such, no answers are provided.
Questions (Do your best to respond to each lesson question before looking at the answer.)
1. What are the 3 types of death? 2. When does each occur? 3. Explain how separation occurs with each type of death. 4. Which of the three types of death is worse? 5. Does every human have a sinful nature, and is every human guilty of sin? Did Jesus Christ have a sinful nature and did He sin? Consider the following before you determine your answer.
o All humans are conceived by a man and a woman. o Jesus Christ was conceived in the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:26-35). o "Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth." 1 Peter 2:22. o "A lamb without blemish and without spot." 1 Peter 1:19 o If Jesus had a sinful nature and committed sin, would He had been a perfect sacrifice for our sins? Why did Jesus say we must be born again? Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate." What did He mean and what is the relevance to each of us?

1. Page 2: Spiritual, Physical and Second Death 2. Page 2: Spiritual at conception, Physical when the body dies, and Second after the body dies. 3. Page 2: Spiritual and Second = separation from God. Physical = soul + spirit separation from the body. 4. Page 5: Second death because it is an eternal torment in the lake of fire--with no hope. 5. Page 2: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Death spread to all men because
all sinned. (Romans 5:12) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8).
