2012 AP Statistics Reading Best Practice Night

Presentation Proposal Thursday, June 14 7:00 PM

Thank you for considering sharing your “Best Practice” at this year’s Best Practices Night! The event will take place at 7:00PM on Thursday, June 14. This evening is an opportunity for interested presenters to share "best practices" in the teaching of introductory statistics with their colleagues.  Everything from favorite instructional activities to teaching tips to assessment resources to statistical humor have been the subject of presentations in prior years. Our hope is to provide a cross-section of practices that address a variety of high-school and college topics.

To allow for a variety of topics and interests, presentations must be kept to 5 minutes. We will organize a program for the evening that best addresses a variety of levels and interests. If you have any questions about the evening, please don’t hesitate to contact Jason Molesky or Adam Shrager.

Provide as much detail about your proposed presentation as possible in the form below. Save the completed document and email it back to Jason AND Adam no later than May 21. The program will be determined and posted by May 28.

In an effort to be “green” and save on printing costs/photocopying nightmares, we are encouraging all presenters to share their handouts, presentations, etc. electronically. Please email any information you’d like to share to us at jmmolesky@isd194.k12.mn.us and ashrager@. Be sure to save your files in a commonly-used format (.pdf, .doc, .ppt, etc.) as there is no guarantee everyone will be able to open less common formats. All files will be posted on the “Best Practices” page at . Please remember to respect all copyright laws when creating and sharing your materials!

See you at the Reading!
