Students will examine expressions, equations and functions, which will allow them to make comparisons between relations and functions. Expressions and equations connect with functions. Understanding the concept of functions is critical to future success in your study of algebra and the rest of the high school mathematics curriculum.Required Materials:SpringBoard Algebra 1 ?2014Graphing Calculator Required (TI-83 or TI-84 recommended. The latest model is the TI-84 Plus CE. You may be able to purchase a used or refurbished graphing calculator online to save money. Calculator rental is available for students on free or reduced lunch. See your teacher for information. Additional Calculator comments: TI-NSpire CAS and TI-89 calculators are not allowed due to their advanced functionality.
