BOARD MEETING MINUTES

July 20, 2015

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers met on Monday July 20, 2015 at the Professional Licensing Boards Division, 237 Coliseum Drive, Macon, GA 31217.

Kay Kendrick established a quorum was present and called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

David Jones made a motion, Sarah Scott seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the July 20, 2015 Agenda.

The following newly appointed Board member was sworn into office by Andrew Turnage, Executive

Director: Philamenia Rivers, Master Barber/ Barber Instructor

Deborah Beard informed the Board of her transfer to the Trades 4 Boards (Residential and General Contractors ? Construction Industry) as their new Executive Director. She thanked the Board for their support during her time as Executive Director. She then introduced the incoming Executive Director, Andrew Turnage. Andrew Turnage gave a brief introduction of his self and informed the Board he welcomes the opportunity to work with them. The Board thanked Deborah Beard for her service.

MINUTES

The Board reviewed the Minutes from the July 08, 2015 Board Meeting. David Jones motioned, Betty Carlisle seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes with corrections.
