Embedded Assessment #2: Synthesizing the American Dream: Does America still provide access to the American Dream?Directions: Your assignment is to synthesize at least two sources and your own observations to defend, challenge, or qualify the statement that “America still provides access to the American Dream.” This question requires you to integrate textual evidence from two sources into a coherent, well-written response. Be sure to refer to the sources and include your own observations to support your position. One of your sources must be “A Raisin in the Sun”. Your second source must be chosen from the following list: “The Two Clashing Meanings of ‘Free Speech’”, “The Bill of Rights”, “America”, “I Hear America Singing”, “I, Too”, “I, Too, Sing America”, “Harlem”, or “Ellis Island”. You must cite textual evidence from each source with MLA parenthetical citations to support your thesis/claim/stance.
