New Fashion Designer Panel Spotlights Trends and

Crossover Merchandising at the 2012 PGA Expo

John Ashworth, Billy Draddy, Mike Rowley, Marty Hackel & Win McMurry Featured

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Leading golf and lifestyle fashion designers will discuss the latest trends and crossover merchandising opportunities during a new Fashion Designer Panel at 10:00 a.m. on the opening morning of the 2012 PGA Expo, Aug. 21, on the event’s main stage in the Las Vegas Venetian Ballroom. The panel will be moderated by Golf Digest Fashion Director Marty Hackel and Win McMurry, Golf Channel reporter and resident fashion expert.

The panel will feature opinions from leading designers including John Ashworth of LinkSoul, Billy Draddy of Fairway & Greene/Zero Restriction and Mike Rowley of Straight Down. Timed on the opening morning of the PGA Expo and just prior to the 11:00 a.m. opening of the MRket apparel trade show, the fashion panel is open to attendees of both events to spotlight the crossover opportunities of golf, resort and lifestyle apparel markets.

The 2012 PGA Expo, Aug. 20-22 in Las Vegas, begins with an all-new Demo Night featuring product testing, instruction workshops, professional networking and a social golf outing at the Callaway Golf Center, just off the Las Vegas Strip, on Monday, Aug. 20.

More than 250 golf companies and brands will present and demonstrate their latest merchandise in upscale, exhibit displays in the Venetian Ballroom on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Attendees can test equipment on the show floor at the expanded Golf Performance & Training Center; uncover the newest merchandise at the New Product Zone; and network with colleagues among displays of the latest golf fashion lines in the new attendee networking lounge.

Each morning begins with a new keynote industry presentation and attendees can participate in a comprehensive education conference. Additionally, the popular PGA Expo Industry Reception will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Lagasse Stadium in the Palazzo Las Vegas Resort.
