My parents have been my strong support and I thank them for their sacrifice. Playing singles has helped me build my self-esteem and self-belief, it has challenged my body and my mind. I have learnt to win and lose tournaments gracefully. I have learnt from all the experiences which have helped me to improve my game. Mental strength is key in tennis and through playing different players, I have been able to believe in myself when it mattered most. I have been able to think strategically when I am down and get myself out of difficult game situations. I enjoy playing doubles as there is less pressure and I have had great success. I am a great team player and I believe this is an additional asset that I would bring to the team. My dream has always been to play tennis professionally. College tennis will allow me to continue playing tennis at a high level while at the same time attaining a University Degree. My game will definitely improve as we will be playing against other top colleges. Given this opportunity, I will definitely bring my A game and perform at my best. I am ready for this challenge.South African Tennis Association Ranking (Singles)Current Women’s Ranking 22 January 2018-35Year end 2016 Singles Ranking (U18)-35June 2015 SATA Singles Ranking (U18)-23South African Tennis Association Ranking (Doubles)Current Women’s Doubles Ranking-35Year end 2016 Doubles Ranking (U18)-14June 2015 SATA Doubles Ranking (U18)-16Zimbabwe RepresentationSelected to represent Zimbabwe in the African Junior Championships in Tunisia (February 2016).
