This year's theme is "Back to Basics." In addition to our usual line-up of informative clinics, this year will highlight a variety of demonstrations and techniques for folks just starting or interested in starting a model railroad layout. Our scratch builder Paul Lessard has been going at the model building lately and is only one model short of being an NMRA approved Master Modeler. We all hope that Paul can achieve this goal and we all wish him the best of luck.

“All Hands” Meeting

On Thursday October 29th 1998 we will be having and Emergency “all hands” business meeting at the clubhouse at 7:00 p.m.

This meeting is to discuss the “decision tree” that John Palmer and Paul Chapman have set up to determine the future of the clubs status. Since this is a business meeting, all members and attendees are able to modify the tree by announcing a suggestion on the floor of the meeting.

The basic “tree” as is follows.

We will have to make the following decisions.

1. Disband or continue.

2. If continue, Modularize, put in storage, or find and go directly to a new site.

3. If go to a new site, $ rent, $power, $insurance. (All suggestions welcome, lets pick a place with rest rooms and secure enough so we can publicize our meetings and grow the organization.

4. If continue- we need to elect officers and other positions etc., etc.

This is the basic format for the voting but a formal and edited decision tree will be handed out at the October 29th meeting at 7:00pm at 41 Main street Derry.

If you would like to add to the “tree” or suggest other possibilities please attend the meeting, your attendance is needed.

description should describe the consist's major and/or special features, the name of the owner, and a history of when you started to assemble, build, or collect the equipment. Comments as to why this is your favorite consist or information about it's parent pike would also be helpful.

North Conway Dome Car

It is my understanding that the new dome car was exchanged with the NCSRR around the first of July.

“Decision trees” are included in this newsletter.
