Is the spirit filled life really for you?Spirit filled life is not special deluxe edition of Christianity. It is a part of a total plan of God for his people.There is nothing abnormal, its unusual but not abnormal.Its not a life of being strange or odd.As Jesus was, spirit is.You must be sure of all of this to the point of conviction.You don’t have to beg, the right to spirit filled life was included in the promise of Jesus. You don’t need to be afraid of H.S. only hypocrites need to be afraid.DO YOU TRULLY WANT TO BE FILLED???Are you sure you want to be possessed by a spirit other than your own?That Spirit, of He possesses you, will be the LORD of your life.Do you want him to be the lord of your life?You want his benefits, I know!Do you want to hand the keys of your soul and say “from now on I don’t even have the keys to my house”?Are you sure you want your personality to be taken oven by the one who will expect obedience to the written and living word of God?I ask if you desire to have your personality to be taken over by the one who stands in sharp opposition to the worlds easy ways? He will expect:No tolerance of evilNo smiling at crooked jokesNo laughing at things god hates!H.S. will bring you to opposition to the world, just as Jesus. The world crucified Jesus because they couldn’t stand him.The world hates H.S. as much as they hated Jesus.You want his help, YES, you want his benefits, YES But do you want to go with him against the easy going of the world? Some people want Christianity for its insurance value.Some of you are not ready for this because you haven’t given up all so that you can have allAmos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? ARE YOU SURE YOU NEED HIM?HOW TO RECEIVE HIMPresent your body to him. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you,?brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,?holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.?2?Do not conform?to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.?Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing?and perfect will.God can’t fill what he can’t have.Present your body with all of its functions, your mind, your personality, your spirit, your love, your ambitions, your all!Ask.
