SOCIETY FOR VASCULAR SURGERY

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) is seeking proposals in consideration of the 2017 Vascular Annual Meeting, May 31 - June 3, at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.

About the Call

Thank you for your interest in submitting an invited session proposal. While responsible for invited session selection, SVS recognizes the amount of effort and commitment it takes to develop these programs. This new process will provide feedback on a preliminary proposal without a great up-front expenditure of your time.

What is an Invited Session?

There are four program types for proposals:

• Postgraduate: a 3-hour educational session organized around a broad theme.

• Breakfast: a 90-minute educational session organized around a single and narrow concept.

• Concurrent: a 90-minute educational session organized around a niche topic, attracting a specific audience.

• Workshop: an interactive, small group session focused on a specific skill or knowledge.

Proposal Submission & Selection Process

To be considered, complete the included proposal form.

If a proposal is identified for further development, the Postgraduate Education Committee will provide feedback towards the end of September, along with a committee member liaison. The final outline will be due within 3 weeks from the time of notification, and must contain the following components:

• Course title

• Moderators and speakers (email addresses must be included for any non-members)

• Individual presentation topics and respective timing

• Educational objectives

Timeline
