We are proceeding with the 2020-21 season for our Wednesday and Friday leagues provided enough individuals register to play*.Registration is now open at up by October 5, 2020. Following the recommended guidelines set out by Curling Canada, CurlSask and Curl Regina, I understand that both the Callie and Highland Curling Clubs have put in place procedures for safe curling and socializing. Please read below for more details regarding the leagues and "return to play" plans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The primary goal of both leagues is to provide a fun atmosphere and opportunity to socialize with people from the university community and beyond.Wednesday League4:45 pm at the Callie Curling ClubPlay begins on October 1418 games (fall semester = 9; winter semester = 9) Total fees: $202.50 ($135 if you are playing one semester)This league is “recreational". No curling experience is necessary.Curlers register individually and are placed onto teams at the beginning of each semester. If you are only able to curl for one term (either Fall or Winter semester), you can sign up for the one that works for you. The Callie Curling Club "Return to Play" guidelines are attached and can also be found at League4:45 pm at the Highland Curling ClubPlay begins on October 1619 games (fall semester = 9; winter semester = 10) Total fees: $257.50While this is also a fun league, Friday nights tend to be a bit more “competitive” and at least a year’s curling experience is beneficial.Curlers register individually, but should indicate if they are part of a pre-formed team (by entering the skip’s name) or if they are looking for a team to join. We will do our best to match you with a team in need of a player. The Highland Curling Club "Return to Play" guidelines are attached and can also be found at fee for both Wednesday and Friday leagues = $413.50.Curling fees include: ice rental, a one-time capital improvement fee ($31.50), a one-time CurlSask membership ($15.00), and a COVID cleaning fee ($21.00) for each rink you play in. Fees are due at first game (by cash or cheque only). The number of games is set according to curling club schedules / bonspiels.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Spares are welcome!
