|What kind of SSL certificate will you create for this domain (e.g.: normal, multiple domain (UCC), wildcard)? | |
User Identifiers & Directory
|Question |Answer |
|When departments need to define a search committee in Recruit, they use a user identifier we call the ‘alias’: | |
|it must be well known, easy to type, unique, and ubiquitous. Non-technical users will need to deal with them on | |
|a somewhat regular basis. Any search committee member will need to have one, so faculty, staff, affiliates, and | |
|possibly graduate students should be included. Which of your user identifiers would be best for that purpose? | |
|To coordinate user access to Recruit, we use a user identifier we call the ‘external_user_id’: it must be | |
|immutable, persistent, unique, and ubiquitous. It will not be seen by users, but cannot change over the lifetime| |
|of a user. Anyone who logs into recruit will need to have one. Which of your user identifiers would be best for | |
|that purpose? | |
|What does your Shibboleth IdP call this external_user_id attribute? E.g.: EPPN, campus_id, targeted-id | |
|Should Recruit require a specific Shibboleth affiliation attribute before allowing a user into the “Faculty and | |
|Administrators” area? If so, what does your Shibboleth IdP call the affiliation attribute? | |
|What system will serve as the source for this directory information? | |
|How frequently should AP Recruit refresh/import directory information? (e.g.: daily, every 12 hours) | |
Access Control
|Question |Answer |
|What access control transfer method (or combination of methods) will you use? Which roles (i.e.: Analyst, | |
|Equity Advisor, etc…) will be updated by which transfer method? | |
|Manual: Recruit’s built-in User Manager Interface for managing access control. | |
|If manually managing access control, who will be responsible for keeping access data up-to-date for Recruit? | |
|Data Feed: provide a nightly data feed of access control information. | |
|API: push access control information to Recruit via RESTful web service. | |
Academic Unit Hierarchy
|Question |Answer |
|Will you update school/division and department information via web interface or would you prefer to update this | |
|information via a routine data feed? | |
