Our products are primarily sold through retail outlets (including three stores of our own), via our website and on TV shopping channels across the world.About this role:To support the exciting growth of our live streaming TV channel, we are looking for a Studio Director with shopping TV experience to join our expanding team in Newton Aycliffe.The successful?candidate will be responsible for outputting our daily live shows with duties including the setup of the studio and product packshots, determining?the best camera shots and vision mixing the live broadcasts.The role will also encompass a range of other production skills for ad-hoc duties in between live?shows including, but not limited to, video editing, graphics preparation and camera operating.We are looking for an all-round team player who is looking for a fresh challenge within a fast-moving dynamic company and experience in directing / vision mixing for a shopping TV channel is essential.You’ll primarily be vison mixing and directing video streams for our social platforms, and product demonstration videos for crafterscompanion.co.uk & websites and crafterscompanion.eu sites. You won’t be on your own - the TV team at Crafter’s Companion already includes a Manger of TV, Studio Manager, Post Production Manager, Live Show Producers, and MSO’S.Duties include:Livestreaming Schedule (Essential)Vision Mixing / Directing several hours of live broadcasts on a seven-day fortnight schedule each dayrotation.Managing all pre-production relating to the Livestream schedule, including:Creating graphics and video inserts for the broadcast Preparing the studio for broadcasts including setting up equipment, dressing sets appropriately and creating packshots for lead items Working with the Social team to provide them with assets with which to market the Facebook Liveprogramming schedule effectively Ensuring that all communication is engaging, consistent and representative of our brandVideo Content Creation (Desirable)Editing the livestreams you produce as necessary and as briefed by the Marketing team to provide short form videos for use on websites, YouTube, TV shopping channels and other social platforms as necessary Recording and editing product demonstration videos and other promotional video material outside of the Livestream schedule, maximising the input of scheduled on air talentEnsuring that all projects are completed to a satisfactory standard on a timely basis General Departmental SupportMaintain an archive of video content and other digital assets which is readily available to the business on requestStaying abreast of technology updates and best practices Supporting the existing TV team in their daily tasks which may include liaising with our TV partners on video assets and other necessary collateralKey skills, qualities and experience required:A background in television is essential and experience in shopping television would be most advantageous! Self-starter, pro-active and inquisitive natureStrong organisation skillsSolid people skills in order to manage strong personalities and encourage the best performance from themFamiliarity with Adobe Photoshop and PremiereFlexible approach to working a 7-day fortnight rotation from 7am to 7pm with a degree of flexibility required in order to meet the shifting needs of the business and service to our global audience.
