Its author is the famous social worker in Tarnobrzeg, Waclaw Maczka, who was the mayor of the city from 1945 - 1947. The list was prepared in February 1965 at the request of Janina Pawlasowa, wife of the renowned pre-war doctor Eugeniusz Pawlas, who was valued in Tarnobrzeg by Poles and Jews alike. The list, created after Holocaust, is supplemented by additional information about the fate of some people. This document is a peculiar list of memories, restoring names, and thus characters who otherwise might have been forgotten forever.
