Through the provision of a wide range of environmental programmes and services, ECO-UNESCO delivers a wide range of youth, education, and training programmes across Ireland to promote the personal development of young people through practical environmental projects. Working with over 10,000 young people annually we seek to raise awareness of environmental issues. The Role: ECO-UNESCO seeks to employ an Education & Training Officer. This is a position of responsibility within ECO-UNESCO, playing a key role in the development and delivery of a range of ECO-UNESCO’s training courses and workshops. Reporting to:Operations and Development ManagerLocation:ECO-UNESCO’S Headquarters at 9 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2 with occasional travel requiredTime commitment:Full/time (35 hours)Flexibility is required as the role may include evening and weekend work. Fixed Term Contract Key responsibilitiesDevelopment and ImplementationDeveloping and delivering ECO-UNESCO’s suite of youth training programmes and courses to a wide range of target groups aged 10-25.Developing e-learning courses & programmes to ensure quality environmental training is available to all regardless of location.Coordinating ECO-UNESCO’s QQI training course delivery and assisting with ECO-UNESCO’s engagement with QQI.Generating income through the promotion of ECO-UNESCO’s trainings and workshops to schools, youth groups and interested parties.Assisting with the delivery of ECO-UNESCO’s workshops and camps as needed.Delivering induction trainings and ongoing volunteer support trainingsPromotion:Promoting ECO-UNESCO’s Trainings and Workshops to participants, key stakeholders and across the Youth sector.Report WritingAssisting with grant funding applications and subsequent report writing. OtherEnsuring robust Monitoring & Evaluation is carried out on all project activities.Providing regular reports to Management on educational activities.Undertaking any other such relevant duties as directed.Assisting in other areas of ECO-UNESCO work as required.Representing ECO-UNESCO on relevant ESD and DE bodies.This role description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive.?
