Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt (70 points):

Using Unit Rate to Determine the Better Buy!

For this project, you will compare the unit rates of five items at two different grocery stores to determine which store offers a better value.

You will create a poster of your Grocery Store Data including pictures (cut out from circulars), both sizes and prices and which one is the better buy.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL 5 ITEMS:

A. Find two different sizes of each item

B. List the total price of both sizes

C. List the total units of each size (12 oz, 20 oz, etc)

D. Determine the unit rate by using division of each size (“money divided by quantity”).

E. Indicate the item that is the BETTER BUY!
