Len Fullenkamp served in the United States Army for over 46 years as a soldier and scholar. His active duty assignments included tours in Vietnam and Germany, and command and staff assignments with the 25th Division, 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, the 2nd Ranger Battalion, and the 42nd Field Artillery Brigade. He has served on the faculties of the United States Military Academy, Department of History, and the Army War College, Department of National Security and Strategy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and a Masters Degree in History from Rice University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the U.S. Army War College, and the National Security Seminar on Strategy, Syracuse University. As Professor of Military History and Strategy at the Army War College he served as director of the Advanced Warfighting Studies and the Advanced Strategic Art Programs. In addition to his teaching duties, he directed the Army War College’s Staff Ride program. He is the co-author of the Army War College Battlefield Guides to Gettysburg, Shiloh, and The Vicksburg Campaign. In addition to leading battlefield walks on Civil War battlefields, Len has extensive experience leading groups on WWI battlefields in France and Belgium, and WWII battlefields in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, and the Ardennes. ................
