AUXILIARY EVENTSOVERVIEW:The purpose of Auxiliary Events is to bring Auxiliary together to celebrate what God is doing through The Gideons International. Each Event will include excellent speakers to encourage participation in ministry, inspire commitment, motivate giving, and create a worldwide vision of The Gideons International. These events may be held by an individual camp, multiple camps, area, multiple-areas, a region, regions, or a combination of these within the association. Events also provide a marvelous opportunity to share the vision of The Gideons International with wives of pastors, Friends of Gideons (who are female), and potential members.ROLE OF AUXILIARY LEADERSHIP TEAM: Association Auxiliary Cabinet Set Faith Fund Offering Goal for Auxiliary EventsSelect a Scripture verse to be used at all Auxiliary Events for the year. This Scripture verse should be announced and publicized at the upcoming association convention. (Each Event may look different depending on venue, theme, menu, and methods used by leaders or the Event chairman.)Determine if association will schedule multiple Events, such as regional, area and/or camp Event(s) or an association Event.If an association, or regional Event is decided, the chairman and committee members are appointed by the Auxiliary cabinet at the first Auxiliary cabinet meeting following the association convention. Auxiliary Regional Directors:During the Regional Team Meeting discuss the association Auxiliary cabinet’s direction regarding Event(s) for the Region. Communication between the regional director and area director is key to the success of the Event.Assist the Area Directors as needed in planning Area EventsEstablish milestones, accountability and follow-up processesOffer encouragement Auxiliary Area Directors During Area Team Meeting held in advance of the Auxiliary cabinet meeting, prior to the association convention, discuss the following items and share results with the Auxiliary Regional Director. Discuss possible arrangements of Event(s) for the Area, determining if any individual camps want to host an Event, or if multiple camps in the area desire to jointly host an EventSelect the date(s) for the Event(s)During the first Auxiliary Area Team Meeting following the association convention, appoint committee chairman and members of the committee(s) and share with the Auxiliary Regional DirectorIf an area Event, the area director should be the committee chairman with Auxiliary leadership from various camps serving as committee membersIf a camp or multiple camp Event, a camp Auxiliary president should be the committee chairman with Auxiliary leadership from the camps serving as committee members and will notify the Area Director of the offering amount.Assist with securing Inspirational and International Focus speaker for each Event and report progress to Regional Director.Camp Auxiliary PresidentDuring the camp Auxiliary cabinet meeting, discuss with camp Auxiliary officers the benefits of creating an Auxiliary EventDetermine the attendees and if multiple camps will be involved Create action items, which include the required elements, located on the Resource PageCommunicate details of the Event to the Area Director. The Area Director can provide assistance as needed and most importantly, prayer support.Following the Event, notify Area Director of the total offering ................
