[pic] SHORT 'N SWEET

Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother Joel were sitting together

during church services. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud.

Finally, his big sister had enough.

'You're not supposed to talk out loud in church.'

'Why? Who's going to stop me?' Joel asked.

Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, 'See those two men

standing by the door? They're hushers.'

************

A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, and

looked at the old pages as he turned them. Suddenly something fell out

of the Bible. He picked it up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree that had been pressed between the pages.

"Momma, look what I found!, the boy called out.

"What have you got there?" his mother asked.

With astonishment in his voice he answered. "I think it's Adam's suit!"

[pic] A Note From A Beloved Past Member

(Those of us who have been members here for decades have many good memories

of those who have passed our way in the past. We hear from them from time to

time. Here is a note recently received.)

"To: The church at Woodbridge

Recently Karla Anthony and her daughter Shannon, visited my husband

Jerry and son Tim and me in Tennessee. Many years ago I was Karla's Bible teacher in Woodbridge. So we were so honored to have a visit

from them.

While here, I took them on a tour of the Women's Care Center where I volunteer as mentor and counselor. Karla and Shannon were so touched

by the work done there.

They sent back big box of beautiful blankets they had spent much time making. Little Tennessee babies will be given these blankets. These are little ones who are in much need.

How blessed you are that at the church there to have two women with

such generous, caring hearts. God was glorified and I am grateful.

Lynn Taylor (former member)"

[pic] Outside Work Day Coming

Next Saturday, October 5, brings an opportunity for all to come out, enjoy the fresh air and help "tidy up" the exterior of the church building and grounds. No leaf raking is promised. But the "Pick Up Sticks" game will be played. There will be something for everyone to do.
