Senior Commercial Lending Officer joins The Friendship State Bank

3/3/05 - Friendship, IN – The Friendship State Bank recently announced that Louis Broghamer has been hired as the bank’s Senior Commercial Lending Officer.

Broghamer’s banking experience spans nearly 36 years, starting with work in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a US Treasury Department office, in 1969. In 1978 he began his lending career in Lawrenceburg, IN. His focus turned to Commercial Lending in 1984.

“Lou will give our customers access to a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said James Wm. Lemon, The Friendship State Bank’s President/CEO. “Our goal is to assure our business and commercial banking customers that they can rely on us for the best possible financial services.”

Broghamer has a long history of community service: President of the Dearborn County Park Board (since 1980); Member of the American Legion Post 239 (since 1978); Kiwanis Club past president (since 1978); and much more.

Broghamer is based in the bank’s main office in Friendship, but will assist fellow loan officers at any of the bank’s five branches: Dillsboro, Rising Sun, Cross Plains, Friendship and Versailles.

In the last year, The Friendship State Bank has hired new employees to fill 10 new positions at the bank and at Friendship Insurance.

According to Friendship State Bank Marketing Coordinator Chris Meyer, Broghamer improves the bank’s commercial loan services to the customers’ great advantage.

“A recent survey of our business banking and commercial loan customers let us know what we can do to serve our business customers even better,” Meyer said. “If you’ve got commercial lending needs, Lou will work hard to help you develop your dreams.”

While many industries are trimming their staff, The Friendship State Bank wants to assure customers of a personalized experience in their branches where customer service is a top priority.

The Friendship State Bank, founded in 1912, combines modern technology with sensible community banking through its branches serving customers in Friendship, Dillsboro, Versailles, Rising Sun and Cross Plains.
