Hart County Charter System Displays Graduation Rates Well Above State AverageContact Anna Hall ahall@hart.k12.ga.usC: 706-371-3487Sept. 20, 2018 -- The Hart County Charter System is proving to once again pull in one of the highest graduation rates in the state, ranking as one of the top school systems in Georgia, according to figures released this week. Alongside the Georgia Department of Education’s announcement of the state’s overall graduation rates, Hart County is likewise making know its proud figures, with the 2017-18 class seeing a graduation rate of 95.1 percent. This puts the charter system well above the state average of 81.6 percent. Hart County can count itself within the top of its class within regional schools, topping the list of 14 schools in the northeast region of the state. QUOTE- Jay Floyd- prideIn recent years, the Hart County Charter System has seen tremendous growth in its high school graduation rates, with figures maintaining in the mid-to-high 90-point percentile. During the past decade, graduation rates have risen exponentially, with this year’s score some 20 percentage points high than in 2008 when the graduation rate was documented at 80.3 percent. Looking back even further, the most recent graduation rates is almost inconceivable when compared to the 2005 rate, which saw only 56.5 percent of students earning a diploma.
