Recruitment Regime1.1.The Local Administrative Staff is the employee hired locally to provide support administrative services, full time. The Auxiliary Local working relationships with the Embassy of Brazil in Addis Ababa are regulated by the Ethiopian labor legislation.1.2. This recruitment process is not a public tender and it will not convert any hired person in a civil servant governed by the 8.112/1990 law. This LocalAdministrative Staff post does not characterize public position or public function.2. The Employment and Assignments2.1. Function: one (01) post forTemporary Local AdministrativeStaff for the Embassy.2.2. Responsibilities: This job is for hiring official secretary to plan, organize and direct the Ambassador’s secretariat services; assist and provide any necessary advice to diplomats; collect information according to the Embassy objectives and goals; write specialized professional texts in English (verbal notes, letters, official letters, etc.); prepare synthesis and small interpretation of documents; transcript speeches, conferences, lectures and other oral important information; translate and elaborate version in English/Spanish to official documents, according to the Embassy needs; update, select, register and distribute documents; evaluate and select the Embassy mail to forward to Ambassador or other diplomats in charge; organize all secretariat’s archives; host eventual guests, write down any appointments on Ambassador and other diplomats in charge agenda, inform and guide any calls received; make calls according to the Embassy needs.2.3.This is a temporary position for an official secretary function responsible, among other activities, to properly serve the Embassy needs related to document, transcript, translate, develop and classify official papers and routines; speak to foreign authorities, external public and other Embassy employees; manage Ambassador’s agenda under specific rules and orders and, occasionally, to work inodd time schedules.The contract terms will define workinghours, compensation, time off, overtime and holidays.2.4.Notwithstanding the above, the contractor may not refuse different duties from those described or to occupy a position on the same category in another sector of the Embassy which is different from the one he/she was initially placed.2.5. Hours and Benefits:2.5.1. The position has a daily work period of 8 hours and it may be set during the morning, afternoon or evening shifts, considering the Embassy needs. This work period includes (1) hour/day for lunchtime and one (1) day/week to rest, as well asmeals.3. The Selection Method3.1. Selection for the Local Support Staff post for the Embassy of Brazil will include three (3) eliminatory and classificatory phases, composed by:I- Pre-selection of candidates according to evaluation of the documentation submitted (including references from previous jobs properly verifiable);II- Interview conducted by the Selection Committee;III- English composition/ computer skills.3.2. Tie-breakers:Best evaluation in the English composition/computer skills and best previous employment references.4. Entry Requirements4.1. For all the candidates:4.1.1. CV with photo;4.1.2. Process expiration dateThis selection process will be valid for twelve (12) months from the date of publication of the final result. During this period, the candidates considered suitable may be hired if there is a vacancy.10. Contract Rules10.1.
