While aboard USS Abraham, Master Chief Callison qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist. In January 2009, Master Chief Callison reported to USS Normandy (CG-60) as the command master chief. During his tour, USS Normandy was awarded Retention Excellence Golden Anchor Award, the first the command had received in five years. ................
