Annual Historical Report

The following is a compilation of pertinent information of historical significance to the Florida Chapter APWA. This information is a condensed chapter narrative for the year indicated. The document will be stored on the Chapter’s historical web page.

The annual report consists of the following:

• Highlights of regular Chapter meetings and special events;

• Lists of officers, executive committee members, and activity chairs;

• Chapter scholarship programs;

• Awards—received by Chapter members and received or made by the

Chapter;

Highlights

This year experienced a reduction in members and an overall financial downturn to all government agencies. The board reviewed the budget in-depth and passed a financially responsible budget. The Scholarship Trust made changes to provide scholarships for students attending the Public Works Institute and those attending various Public Works Academies in the state. The scholarship Trust will continue to support college students as in the past.

As of February 8, 2011 membership totaled 1378, down 14 from November 2010 closing.
