| | |As of June 30, 2014, there were 1,613 exchange-traded products in the United States market. Within the month, there were 22 |

| | |new exchange-traded funds. |

| | |U.S. ETF market assets were approximately $1.86 trillion in June. SPDR State Street Global Advisors, iShares, and Vanguard |

| | |experienced the highest inflows of assets, while ProShares, Barclays Funds, and Precidian Funds were among those with the |

| | |greatest asset outflows. The large-blend, mid-cap blend, and diversified emerging-markets categories had the greatest inflows,|

| | |totaling around $22.71 billion, while long-government, trading-leveraged equity, and short-term bond had the greatest |

| | |outflows, totaling approximately $5.82 billion. |

| | |The funds with the greatest June inflows include SPDR S&P 500 SPY ($8.30 billion), iShares Core S&P Mid-Cap IJH ($2.89 |

| | |billion), and iShares Russell 2000 IWM ($2.09 billion). The funds with the highest outflows were iShares 7-10 Year Treasury |

| | |Bond IEF (down $3.63 billion), ProShares Ultra 7-10 Year Treasury UST (down $1.30 billion), and iShares 1-3 Year Credit Bond |

| | |CSJ (down $1.06 billion). |

| | |The three highest-performing U.S. ETF categories for the month of June were equity precious metals, commodities miscellaneous,|

| | |and trading-leveraged commodities, with returns ranging from 20.45% to 9.33%. The three lowest-performing ETF categories for |

| | |the month were volatility, trading-inverse equity, and trading-inverse commodities, with returns ranging from negative 8.55% |

| | |to negative 6.81%. |

| | |June 2014 returns for the U.S. ETF universe averaged positive 1.85%, compared with positive 1.11% returns from the previous |

| | |month. |
