HB 30/Act 115 - Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ

and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund Contributions

As you are aware, Act 90, signed into law on October 23, 2018, amended Section 8621(a)(1) and (b)(1) of Title 20, the Decedents, Estates, and Fiduciaries, to allow customers to donate $3 to The Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund at the time of renewal of a registration and at the time of an initial issuance or renewal of a driver's license or identification card.

HB 30/Act 115, signed into law on November 25, 2020, further amended section 8621(b)(1) of Title 20, the Decedents, Estates, and Fiduciaries, to allow an applicant for a two-year vehicle registration to make a contribution of $6 to the Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund on the Department of Transportation's publicly accessible Internet website.

The act took effect on February 23, 2021.
