The primary responsibility begins in December and continues until the Slate is finalized (usually late March/early April). Most of the tasks associated with this role can be done by computer by home, recommended to attend Exec Board Meetings Dec/Jan and February, as the members are essential in the recruitment of volunteers. Roles/Responsibilities: By Mid-January, Nominating should send an email to ALL Exec Board and Chair positions thanking for their service, confirming those that are set to serve another term, asking if anyone would like to continue on beyond their 2 year term, and seeking ideas for replacements if they are choosing not to continue. Records of correspondence should be recorded in the Nominating Spreadsheet in a timely manner.As people confirm, record immediately in the spreadsheet the confirmation, by whom and date of confirmation.As people deny, record immediately (by whom, date of decline), request leads for filling the position and record leads.If no response from committee members, reach out again, record.
