Kondex, a manufacturer with a majority of its products agriculturally based, is looking for a Vice President of Manufacturing. This leadership position will be key in supporting Kondex's mission of helping to feed and fuel the world.
We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations. Qualified individuals will need superior leadership skills as well as highly developed strategic thinking and the ability to make effective decisions and drive for results. The ability to develop, influence and lead a team is key to success in this role and candidates must have a demonstrated track record in doing so. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:
? A history of setting, pursuing and attaining goals by identifying actions necessary to meet schedules, deadlines and performance metrics
? The ability to organize and motivate people creating a sense of direction, treating everyone fairly and contributing to the growth of others
? A knack for gaining insight through analysis; identifying resources, objective evaluation and problem solving
? Understand the importance of being responsible for your actions and the actions of your team
? Process orientation that leads to efficiencies.
More specifically the responsibilities of the VP of Manufacturing include: ? Planning, strategy and improvements ? Championing lean manufacturing, safety and profitability ? Lead and participate in special projects with respect to expansion, technology etc ? Live Kondex culture, leading sustainability and community efforts
Qualified candidates will have the following:
Minimum Experience: ? 10 years of experience in manufacturing. ? Demonstrated success with the utilization of Lean Six Sigma principles. ? Operations budgeting. ? Success in maintaining a quality system and certification. ? Capital planning, acquisition, and installation. ? Experience executing a production plan. ? Continuous process improvement including 5S. ? Staff development.
Preferred Experience: ? Experience in high volume, high mix manufacturing. ? Success in maintaining an environmental system and certification. ? Maintenance of facilities.
Minimum Education: ? Bachelor's degree in operations management.
Preferred Education: ? Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
Skills: ? Problem solving. ? Obtaining results through others. ? Decision making through metrics, data analysis, and engagement of others. ? Collaboration.
