Wednesday & Thursday: 1300-2100Dead Week (s): Monday-Thursday 0600-1600RDO: Saturday, Sunday, HolidaysLocation: Chuckawalla Valley State PrisonSupervisory Position: FORMCHECKBOX Yes FORMCHECKBOX NoCollective Bargaining Identifier (CBID): R12 POSITION DESCRIPTIONUnder the direct supervision of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II and indirect Prison Canteen Manager II, this position is responsible for the operation of a complex canteen operation. He/she is responsible for the canteen warehouse, making deliveries, conducting inventory, supervising inmate workers, operating the canteens, and completing all paperwork and computer entry associated with the above duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS35%Operate the canteen sales window. Ensure that sales are properly processed through the Trust Restitution Accounting System (TRACS). Check inmate identification for each transaction. Verify that each item sold has been entered in the TRACS system. Maintain security in the canteens at all times. 30%Directly supervise the inmates assigned to the canteen warehouse and canteens. Train inmates in proper methods of receiving, storing, stocking and delivery of merchandise. Instruct inmates in proper and safe material handling, cleaning, safety and maintenance techniques. Search inmates for contraband and properly secure canteen. Record and prepare inmate work and disciplinary documents. 25%Receive, store and issue merchandise using established warehousing procedures. Deliver stock and supplies to the canteens as needed. Adhere to all established safety standards. Complete necessary paperwork. Ensure ACA Standard duties are performed and updated daily.5%Prepare for inventory canteen warehouse and canteens as assigned. 5%Answer telephone. Answer questions concerning canteen operations.
